DOB+S Law Foundation Scholarship
- Deadline to Apply: June 1 of each year
- Amount: $2,000 to $10,000 Annually
- Who is Eligible: DISD students who have been accepted to a 4-year university
Finalists will be contacted to set up an interview with the DOBS Foundation Advisory Council. Final decisions will be made for the coming academic year by November of the current academic year. (For example: 2022 scholarship recipients will be notified by November 2021) Three applicants will be chosen each year.
To be considered, all applicants must:
- Be a member of the debate club at their school.
- Provide 3 letters of recommendation from teachers and/or influential adults in their lives.
- Provide an additional letter of recommendation from their debate coach.
- Submit a video of a debate performance.
- Provide their high school academic transcript, resume, and a letter of application stating their qualifications, goals, and hopes for their career.

DOB+S Law Foundation Access to Justice Grants

- Amount: $2,000 to $10,000 Annually
- Who is Eligible: Non-profit organizations and lawyers seeking to ensure basic human rights to underserved and oppressed populations.
The DOBS Foundation Advisory Council will seek out organizations committed to the goal of guaranteeing the constitutional rights to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness for all people living within America’s borders. After meeting with and interviewing the staff, determinations will be made. Funding decisions will be made based on a rolling basis for need and how much funding is available.
