I grew up in a close-knit family of five. My parents immigrated to the United States in the 1970s, leaving behind their large extended families and everything familiar to start a new life in America so their children could have greater opportunities. My mother stayed home to raise us, teaching me the importance of compassion, kindness, and giving back to the community. My father worked long hours to provide for our family, instilling in me the values of hard work, perseverance, and dedication.
By the time I was in middle school, I knew I wanted to become an attorney. While I did not yet know what kind of law I would practice, I knew my work had to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
Immediately after graduating from law school, I was given the opportunity to represent individuals who had been harmed by companies that manufactured or sold asbestos-containing products. From the moment I met my first client in his home, I knew I had found the right path. The people I represent are facing the most difficult moments of their lives. My role is to give voice to their stories, to stand beside their families, and to hold these companies accountable for the harm they caused.
