Sarah E. Gilson

Since graduating University of California Law School (UC Hastings) in 2008, I have represented exclusively victims of mesothelioma and their families.  I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area.  My parents both worked for the state Social Services Department and from a very young age showed me their great pride in being a fierce advocate for anyone in need.  My experience has taught me that a cancer diagnosis can represent, for many, the most vulnerable moment in a person’s life.  It is my goal for my clients to know, from the first day we meet, that I am fully present and extremely motivated to support them, their family members, and their healthcare journey, every step of the way.

I was a 2023 finalist for California Consumer Advocate of the Year for my work on the published opinion in Ramirez v. Avon, 87 Cal.App.5th 939. The nomination was made by the Consumer Attorneys of California, the state’s pre-eminent industry advocacy group

I received a top 25 verdict in the State of California in 2018 and again in 2020, the latter of which was the first ever entirely remote civil trial in the United States to reach a verdict after the onset of the pandemic.

I am a member of the Alameda Contra Costa County Trial Lawyers Association Board of Directors
