Beverly K. Chapman

While in undergrad, I had the opportunity to work in D.C. and Chicago as a victim’s advocate. I saw firsthand how important it is for people going through a hard time to have someone by their side and to feel heard. Going to law school, I knew that when I graduated, I wanted to find a career where I could take a more active role in giving a voice to victims. I spent seven years at the U.S. Attorney’s Office helping recover funds stolen from victims and ensuring maximum payment for any out-of-pocket expenses incurred as a result of the crime. Now at DOB+S, I have the opportunity to put pen to paper and to tell courts about victims of corporate greed who now have cancer as a result of a company’s bad acts. I am proud to be a part of this team and to spend my days advocating for justice.
